About CRPF

Directorate General

Administration

Administration Directorate Administration Directorate is located under the supervision by lG (Adm). They are supported with the help of DIG (Adm) as well as DIG (Welfare).

Personnel

The Personnel Directorate is functioning under the supervision from lG (Pers). He is assisted by the assistance with the help of DIG (Pers), DIG (CR and Vig), DIG (Org), DIG (Estt) and Comdt(Estt).

Training

The Training Directorate is functioning under the supervision of IG(Training). He is assisted by DIG (Training-l), DIG (Training-ll) and DIG(Sports).

Operations

The Operations Directorate is functioning under the general supervision by IG (OPS). He is assisted by DIG (OPS-I) and DIG (OPS-II).

Provisioning

The Provisioning Directorate is working under the overall supervision from IG (Provisioning). He is supported by the DIG (Prov) (Mod & Ord) (Mod & Ord), DIG (Mod & ord), DIG(MT), Comdt. (Mod) and Asstt. Director (Prov).

Communication

IG(Communication) is looking after Communication Dte. Communication Dte. He is assisted with DIG (Eqpt ) as well as DIG (Tech) and DIG (IT) .

Intelligence

The Intelligence Directorate is functioning under the guidance of IG (Intelligence). He is assisted by DIG (MAC),Commandant(Int) and PRO.

Establishment

The Establishment branch operates under the supervision of IG(Estt.). The IG(Estt.) is supported by the assistance of DIG(Law) together with DIG (Rectt).

Finance

The Finance Branch and Pay is run under the direction of Direct Supervision by the FA. It is supported by Dy.FA.

Medical

The Medical Branch is functioning under the supervision of the IG Director (Medical). He is assisted by two Dy. Director (Medical).

The Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF) is India's biggest Central Armed Police Force. It operates under the authority that is under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. The main role of the CRPF is in aiding the State/Union Territory with the police-related functions that guarantee peace and security as well in fighting insurgency. It was founded by virtue that it was an official part of the Crown Representative's Police on 27 July 1939. In the aftermath of Indian Independence, it was transformed into it's Own Central Reserve Police Force on the enactment of CRPF Act on 28 December 1949.
